Simple Pocket improves business efficiency and streamlines inventory management
Voiteluosa Oy was founded by Tuula Havumäki as a reseller of lubrication systems, spare parts and lubricants. A large share of sales is made through their online store. Tuula’s spouse, Jukka Havumäki, runs Voiteluasennus Oy, and both companies operate on a family farm in Asikkala, Päijät-Häme. Voiteluosa is financially stable and known as a reliable supplier. Together, they ensure that their customers’ heavy machinery remains operational. In addition to Tuula and Jukka, the companies employ two full-time workers.

What was the situation before using Simple Pocket?
In 2023, the inventories of Voiteluosa and Voiteluasennus were merged into one. From that point on, the same warehouse was serving both online store customers and Voiteluasennus installation customers. ”Voiteluasennus fitters would pick up parts from the stock and drive directly to the customer. In those cases, the inventory balances didn’t change unless the fitters separately reported what they had taken. We invoice Voiteluasennus jobs as lump sums without itemising the spare parts used in installations. This created challenges in inventory control. Fitters would write down what parts they had taken — and sometimes things were completely forgotten”. To solve this, Tuula started looking for a better solution. Barcode scanning seemed like a sensible way to simplify stock tracking, and through Aksulit’s Tunnistekauppa she came across their Simple product family. A phone call to Aksulit kicked off a cooperation where Voiteluosa adopted Simple Pocket as their inventory management tool.
Implementation of Simple Pocket
Voiteluosa’s inventory contains roughly 2,000 product SKUs, of which around 1,000 are kept in physical stock. During the rollout, Simple Pocket was first tested within a smaller group to ensure the system suited Voiteluosa’s processes. This pilot phase provided Aksulit valuable product development feedback on how Simple Pocket suited different industries.
When no major problems arose, the use of the app was gradually expanded to all employees. “Of course, there were minor glitches with how balances were updated in the beginning, but Aksulit reacted quickly and fixed them right away.”
Benefits of Simple Pocket
The biggest improvements brought by Simple Pocket are easier stock tracking, better cost control and more accurate invoicing. ”We can now better monitor the parts used in each job, which makes the billing for installations more precise. Everyone’s daily work is easier now that Simple Pocket is in place. Stock balances are always up to date, and no one needs to write them on paper anymore.” Simple Pocket runs directly on a mobile phone, so no new devices were needed. Each employee has access to real-time stock data directly in their pocket.
“After the implementation phase, the cooperation with Aksulit has been really smooth. We noticed a few things that could be improved in Simple Pocket, such as showing shelf locations and updated stock balances more clearly, so that even those less familiar with warehouse work can find items faster. We gave Aksulit suggestions — and they were taken into account immediately. The service attitude has been excellent.”
As of 2025, Voiteluosa has been using Simple Pocket for two years, and four employees use it actively. ”We can warmly recommend Aksulit’s Simple Pocket for inventory management.
